Rush

The Phi Kappa Psi California Delta Chapter is one of the largest and most popular chapters on the west coast. We prize ourselves on excelling academically, philanthropically, and socially. With over 100 active brothers and 2,000 chapter alumni in the Los Angeles area, Phi Kappa Psi is one of the biggest, most respected fraternities on the row. This fall, we are looking forward to another semester packed full of events, philanthropies, mixers, formals, and parties.

Just a recap of the best highlights from Fall ’09/Spring ’10…

All-weekend formal in Vegas with tickets to Dane Cook, a private cabana for the day at Mandalay Bay, and a night in the G-Suite at the Palms.

Exchanges with DG, Theta, Pi Phi, Kappa, and Alpha Phi. Homecoming with Theta, date dashes at Sharkeez and Big Wangs, tailgates and Nike-sponsored parties for football games, weekly parties, huge day parties with slip-n-slides and pirate ships, as well as various brotherhood events including paintballing and basketball tournaments.

Nike sponsored our house in the fall, throwing toga runs, weekly Nike events, and viewing parties for football games complete with huge projectors, and catering from Wing Stop and other nearby restaurants.

In an attempt to aid the nearby community, we held many philanthropic events through out the year, the biggest of which is the huge Phi Psi 500 concert in the fall with artists Super Mash Bros, Sam Adams, and Mike Posner. It raised over $10,000 that we gave to our philanthropy, The Mary Lind Foundation. We also hold our annual Haunted House/Trick-or-Treat Philanthropy as well as our Santa Clause and Easter Egg Hunt Philanthropies.

Our biggest event of the year was Frost, a registered party with a life-size polar bear, ski hills with actual snow, and packed full with people dressed in everything from ski masks and snow suits to sexy snow bunny outfits.

With over 100 members in our California Delta chapter, we’ve been invited to participate in the Phi Kappa Psi business conference in Cabo. In addition, our strong brotherhood with both our active members and involved alumni has allowed us to create the Phi Psi Mentorship Program, giving our members opportunities to learn from mentors in their desired job markets and gain internship and job opportunities in and after college.

After a wild two semesters this past year, we’ll be going into this fall with high expectations – homecoming is already set with DG, and that’s only the beginning…

Hazing

Every Phi Kappa Psi chapter is a non-hazing Fraternity and the California Delta Chapter at USC is no exception. We do not tolerate any form of physical or mental degradation. Instead, we pride ourselves on constructing well-rounded young men who will become leaders in the house, the USC community, and in their future careers. Phi Psi strives to inspire its new members to take an active role in the Fraternity during the course of the pledge semester so that they may learn about the initiative, dedication, and commitment necessary to be successful leaders for the chapter’s future.
